MP3 of the Day

THE MANHATTAN LOVE SUICIDES are the newest addition to the Magic Marker Records family. Born in Leeds, England in January 2006, their first album is scheduled for release in November. They play fuzzed up noisy pop that I might call a cross between The Jesus And Mary Chain and Pussycat Trash. Today's song, Things You've Never Done , is from their self titled debut. Have a great Friday!

The machine repeats itself. Wilddogs couldn't carry me away.
Working nightshift in a factory is something I would never do again. It's been nice revisiting those interesting memories.

The Mauser C96 was the first successful autoloading pistol. Many Mauser pistols were provided with wooden holsters which doubled as shoulder stocks, for improved accuracy at longer range. In 1934, these pistols had to be registered as "short-barreled rifles" to be legally used with shoulder stocks in the US. Likewise, select-fire versions had to be registered and subject to horrendously high taxes, $200. In 1934, that was far in excess of the cost of the gun itself.

The C98 is revolutionary high-speed blister machine designed specifically for the Japanese market. It presents a great number of features which makes it a completely new concept in the blister world.
