Hearst had used all of his resources and influence in an unsuccessful attempt to prevent the film's release. Welles and the studio, RKO, resisted the pressure, but Hearst and his Hollywood friends succeeded in getting theater chains to limit bookings of Citizen Kane, resulting in mediocre box-office numbers for the film. Today we have a new Nana Grizol song, Cynicism from their soon to be released album, Ruth. Happy Friday!
