On this day in 1959 Carl Switzer, better known as Alfalfa from the Our Gang comedies, was shot and killed. Following his childhood acting career, Switzer became a hunting guide and bartender in Northern California. He was shot during an argument over a $50 debt. Authorities ruled the shooting "justifiable homicide." Today we have a live recording of the song Rumble with the Gang Debs performed by Tullycraft.
