In 2003 Darren Hayman formed the band THE FRENCH, after his other band Hefner was declared on indefinite hiatus. The French released an excellent album, Local Information, on Too Pure that same year. The album's release was followed by a legal dispute with Too Pure. Currently, Hayman is looking to re-release Local Information and possibly new material on his own label. Until then, The French are also on indefinite hiatus. Today's song Porn Shoes, is from the one (and only) album by The French: Local Information.
