I know I shouldn't be complaining because the rest of the country is going through a serious heat wave, but it's too damn hot here! We don't get 95º weather very often in the Pacific Northwest, (maybe 2 or 3 days a year). No one here has air conditioning. We aren't prepared for this! Fueled by this outragous heat, today I'm posting Straight Out Of Compton, (a cover of the NWA classic) by NINA GORDON.

I dunno, this weekend kind of sucked. I sat around all day waiting for my laundry. I got my oil changed. I listened to NWA with Rhen and we discussed their impact on suburban youth. That was an alright time. At least it was something to do.
Groot, you suck! Big Time, shame on you. Needless to type, the Sea times Comics section is good today - Frank & Earnest, For Better or Worse, Family Circus, others, and SOMETHING COOL called Frazz! hey, that Kim Gordon song is HOT!!
So last night I decided to go for a walk through LA’s “bad-land” to see if it’s all the papers say it is. I had only been there for 5 minutes when I was totally ambushed by a gang. But it wasn’t your ordinary girl gang, this was a gang of mini Franklin Boscoes!
It almost makes me want to get out my copy of 'User's Guide to Capitalism and Schizophrenia', again Something To Do at work tomorrow, instead of concocting my Q&A assault on The Blood Brothers quaint wed. brunch demonstration at SCCC!
Next week's to do list: swim with wild dolphins, hold a tarantula, grow and eat my own vegetables, touch an iceberg, say 'I love you' and meant it, and count backwards from 100.

I dunno where you are, but MY thermometer said 97 today, not 95, and that was a cool day compared to Friday and Saturday. Nancy was swimming in a 100-degree greenhouse all day. My ears are bleeding.
