Beat Happening cover of the Day

MATH and PHYSICS CLUB played a record release show at the Sunset Tavern (here in Seattle) last night. In addition to playing many of the great songs off their self titled full-length debut, they pulled out a cover of the Beat Happening classic, Angel Gone. An old-school 3.2 MegaPixel Digital Elph captured the action (until the card filled up). Check out the video here.

"Classic" is a stretch, it appeared on the Angel Gone 7" (late 90s) and on the box set. Beat Happening fans might want to join the sometimes dormant SeaHunt group on Yahoo, Calvin's brother Streator is a member and is really nice about answering questions.

"Angel Gone" IS a Beat Happening classic. Just ask Bob Tattersall. He was the King of Midget Car Racing and the principal character in the radio program "The Great Gildersleeve."
