CARS CAN BE BLUE are anything but your average guitar-n-drums, girl/boy twee band. It's true, they write quirky bubblegum pop songs that are completely endearing, but they also challenge their listeners with "adult themes" sprinkled throughout their songs. Some people find it funny, while a few others see it as being in bad taste. Either way, when Becky Brooks rolls "I can think of things to do" off her tongue, the audience tends to pay attention.
