TULLYCRAFT TUESDAY

Before Jeff and I were in Tullycraft we were in a band called Crayon. Crayon only released one album called Brick Factory and one of the songs on that album was called "Pedal." On one of the first 7" releases by Tullycraft we included a short techno version of this song as sort of a 'tip of the hat' to our old band. The background vocals on the new version were by Rose Melberg (Tiger Trap & The Softies). A couple years later Rose (Melberg) started a new band called Gaze in Vancouver, B.C. Gaze ended up recording and releasing their own version of the song. Today we have both the TULLYCRAFT cover of Pedal, and the GAZE cover of Pedal. Enjoy!

"Brick Factory" is supposed to be re-issued this year on a double CD with everything Crayon ever recorded. There's a Crayon MySpace page you can sign up for to get updates on this if your're interested:

-Brad (who is not in Tullycraft, but does recall playing with Sean and Jeff in Crayon!)

I was just reminded that Pipper The Kissing Cat also does a great version of "Pedal" as well.

Lots of good memories being on tour with Crayon. I still think back thankfully that Brad advised me not to dive off the bridge into the creek near Boscoe's house.
