MP3 of the Day
I was going through my big box of old tapes the other day, and I came across the SNO*BOY cassette. This band featured former Tullycraft guitarist Harold Hollingsworth. To my knowledge, they only released one 7" single and this song, Mow Your Lawn wasn't on it. There are so many lost gems on tape! Maybe we should have an entire week of cassette only releases?

totally-- cassette-only week!!!
Yes, I vote for cassette-only month.
Is this the same as the Siltfence version of "Mow Your Lawn"?
I don't know of Siltfence Nancy, but I'm familiar with this sexy song somehow. The 7" btw has over-the-top keen packaging. If the microwave wasn't being propped up by my box of vinyl, I'd get it out to caress the silky firecrack giftwrap.
I'm checking in to the 302
where the chips are down
and so are you
Nancy, I think Iitis the same as the Siltfence recording, good memory. the early incarnation of Sno*Boy.
The back story on this goes like this.
It is a song to Kim Deal whom Gary B. Had a bit of a crush. The vinyl version had the vocals taken out because Gary thought, two things it was a strong instrumental and he did not like his vocals on the recording. I always like the vocal version better.
