Songs for Drella was an album written about
Andy Warhol by
LOU REED and
JOHN CALE. The songs are not so much a biography but rather Warhol as experienced through Lou Reed and John Cale's eyes... which is why many of the songs are written from Lou's perseptive and why there is little reference to Warhol's life between 1970-1987. My favorite song on the album is
Hello, it's me. It might be one of the best
quiet songs Lou Reed has ever written. It's tragic, and it's just about perfect.
