Recently, Avril Lavigne and her record label were sued by The Rubinoos who claimed that her single "Girlfriend" infringed upon their 1979 hit "I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend." Years before this controversy the band LUSH recorded their own version, re-naming the song I Wanna Be Your Girlfriend. (They gave The Rubinoos full credit). If you ask me, Avril's version sounds remarkably similar to the Lush cover.

I always felt bad for Emma Anderson. Pardon my shallow cattiness, but next to Miki Berenyi shes just so... Not Miki.
