DARREN HAYMAN is one of my favorite songwriters. It's really that simple. Today we have Darren explaining why he avoids using poetic metaphors in his writing and the song, Peppermint Taste by his former band HEFNER. Darren has always been a great writer of observant ‘character’ songs. I’d actually really love to see Darren in front of a class. He’d be a natural teacher. I can just see him telling a class of 5th graders about the chord that they were about to play when something tragic happens!
smart stuff, I like how he thinks and puts it together for himself and his work...
