MP3 of the Day

With Halloween less than a week away, somehow it seemed appropriate to have Gerald Casale of DEVO explain the origin the famous yellow chemical-protection suits the band wore during the early Q: Are We Not Men? period, and on their now-legendary Saturday Night Live appearance (which aired in October 1978). And also we have the song Working In A Coal Mine.

Q: if DEVO is Fisher Price, and you guys are sort of Nickelodeon, maybe we can be Parker Brothers? like how someone was lime green, maize, and midnight blue from the 64 pack? hey, i might see Rob W (maize) next week. Whip it good! Maybelline Marshmallow Mousse!

I love me some Devo. But -- call me Grandad -- I'm still really angry they sold out and performed on Solid Gold.

Who didn’t like Solid Gold? Remember those smokin’ dancers?

With the dysfunction and herd mentality of American society, we need Devo more than ever.
