MP3 of the Day

After recording demos for a fourth Buzzcock's album in 1981, PETE SHELLEY decided to pursue a solo career and the group disbanded in 1981. Shelley's first solo single was the song "Homosapien", which he had originally written for the next Buzzcocks LP. On this recording he returned to his original interests in electronic music and shifted the emphasis from guitar to synthesizer. Today we have PETE SHELLEY explaining how the demo for that song may have ultimately caused the break-up of The Buzzcocks and the song Homosapien.

I love the Buzzcocks. LOVE them. But could they have possibly had uglier names?

I mean, STEVE DIGGLE? What kind of punk rock name is THAT?
