MP3 of the Day

Sally Field's character in the 1977 film Smokey and the Bandit was named Carrie. I bet if you asked Rose Melberg she'd tell you that Carries's Song by her former band, TIGER TRAP was inspired by this very same Carrie. Happy Wednesday!

"Smokey and the Bandit"...aka.."The Greatest Movie of all Time"
I had a recording I made when I was 11y.o. or so by holding our Realistic cassette recorder up the the speaker of the TV during this movie. I played the heck outta the "east bound and down". I loved everything in the movie; the title song, 18 wheeler trucks (w/ wicked airbrush trailer!), sally field , black and gold trans am firebird.

I got a flat tire today and had to wait at the local service station for two hours. As I kid I was always fascinated by the service station. I guess cause I grew up rather conservative and thought those guys who work there must have done something wrong in there life to end up there. But I guess I also thought at least they are not in prison or in prison anymore. So now after hanging out there my perspective has changed. Those dudes are bad Asses. They could drink anyone under the table then pick that table up and brake I over your limp passed out corpse. Then they would get up at the crack of dawn the next morning and drop a tranny out of 68 Chevy without thinking about it. Smokey or The Bandit could not do that in three life times.

I have a question about a lyric in bored to hear your heart still breaks. When you say "keep you red sleeping beauty" do you mean the song or the band. Just wondering.

I would like to say that Tiger Trap is one of my top-twn (or maybe top-twenty) favorite bands of all time. Actually, pretty much anything Rose Melberg ever did in a band setting makes me swoon.
