MP3 of the Day

Filming began on Gone with the Wind on this day in 1938. Producer David O. Selznick had not yet cast an actress to play the leading role of Scarlett O'Hara, so the first day's shooting was the burning of Atlanta, which didn't require close footage of Scarlett. Today we have Plus Ones by OKKERVIL RIVER from their latest album The Stage Names.

Woke up yesterday with vice crushing down on my head that is what whiskey will do to you when trading shots with the old timers down at Twin Docks. My room was dark and cold this ice storm is gonna piss me off if I run out of booze. Well I heated up some eggnog and poured in the bourbon. After that I quickly forgot about the cold and after three of four holiday specials as I call them forgot about the headache too. If only the Bears would have been playing I would have been complete. What does all this mean, well it means nothing to you and everything to me. Oh and I love eggs fried in bacon grease.
