MP3 of the Day

Attempts to dig a channel tunnel between Britain and France date back to 1883, and Napoleon drew blueprints for a tunnel in 1802. But it wasn’t until this day in 1986 that France and Britain announced that a tunnel would actually become a reality. Trains, cars and buses would be able to speed through this tunnel in less than half an hour. Construction began in December 1987, and what would be called the "chunnel" was finally completed in 1994. Today we have Driving In Your Car by SODA FOUNTAIN RAG.

I found that Ragnhild Hogstad Jordahl from Bergen, Norway is Soda Fountain Rag. There is not much information about her on her My Space page.

Note -- if you say "chunnel" to a Brit be prepared for a bizarre explosion of out-of-proportion anger. They call it "Eurostar". They really get bent out of shape over "chunnel", I'm not sure why.
