On this day in 1966, Texas Western College defeated the University of Kentucky in the NCAA men’s college basketball final in College Park, Maryland. This marked the first time an all-black starting five had won the NCAA championship. Today we have The Mess Inside by THE MOUNTAIN GOATS from the album All Hail West Texas.

I'm not sure yet if I like Heretic Pride better than All Hail West Texas. Both are really great.

Glory Road, released in 2006. Pretty good movie, as sports movies go.
