On this day in 1964, the Beatles broke Elvis Presley's seven-year record for most hits on Billboard's Hot 100 at the same time. In 1956, Presley had nine songs on the Hot 100. On this day, the Beatles scored a 10th hit, continuing to add to the score until April 11, when the band occupied 14 positions on the chart.
