Ray Davies of
THE KINKS traveled round trip from New York to London to re-record one word in the song "Lola." The original lyrics had the word "Coca-cola," but because of product placement and wanting to get radio air play they changed the line to the generic "Cherry Cola". The minor change paid off, and the success of the single allowed the band to negotiate a new contract with
