Steve Albini was born on this day in 1962. In addition to playing in the bands Big Black, Rapeman, and Shellac, Steve is also the owner and engineer of Electrical Audio, a recording studio located in Chicago. He estimates that he has recorded 1,500 albums, mostly by rather obscure bands, but he has also worked with some higher profile artists including: Pixies, Superchunk, PJ Harvey, Cheap Trick and Nirvana.
