MP3 of the Day

I don't know if any of you saw the announcement that BOYRACER are supposedly playing their last ever show tonight at the 40 Watt in Athens, GA. I love Stewart and Jen to death, but I have to call b.s. on this. If they hadn't made this claim half a dozen times before I might be inclined to believe them, but I simply don't. Tullycraft actually played with Boyracer at their "last ever show" in the bay area a few years back (just one of many since then). I'm betting there will be other chances to catch them live in the future. Feedback squeal and reckless energy like theirs can't be contained for too long. Today we have the song Where To Place Your Trust? by BOYRACER from the album Happenstance. Happy Friday!

Just now saw this post Sean, and I suppose you're right. The thing is that when Stew is sober and gets a bit down about the fact that we have no distro and can't really justify pressing records anymore because of the dismal sales, he decides to chuck it all in. Then later, when he's happier and tipsier and maybe has a few friends around to recall the good old days with him, he heads back into the bunkhouse (studio) and starts recording again. I don't think he can help himself. But, other than still doing some covers for the Boyracer Jukebox series, he's mostly working on new projects now: Cheap Red cheifly- our new band with a brand new debut cd out now, and Mytty Archer, my solo project with Stew on drums of course, and he's got a few others up his sleeve, like the hardcore Swedish band with the unspellable name and another Billy Chidish-esque band that hasn't quite settled on a name yet. So whether it's actually Boyracer or not, there's really no stopping Stew from making music. I don't think he'd know what to do with his free moments after beer O'clock if he didn't. Love to you and all the Tullys Sean! Jen Turrell
