MP3 of the Day

Rita Hayworth was born in Brooklyn, New York on this day in 1918. She began performing with her parents at age 12 and made her film debut at age 16. She became a star in 1941, after starring with Fred Astaire in You'll Never Get Rich and You Were Never Lovelier. Gilda (1946), was perhaps her most notable role, and made her into a cultural icon. She once complained, "Men fall in love with Gilda, but they wake up with me." Hayworth was married five times; her husbands included Prince Ali Khan and Orson Welles. She died in 1987. Today we have the song The Nurses Don't Notice A Thing by THE ABSENTEE. Happy Friday!
