MP3 of the Day
On this day in 1981, the synthpop duo SOFT CELL released their debut album Non-Stop Erotic Cabaret on Some Bizarre Records. The album was recorded with a very little money using a Roland drum machine, a NED Synclavier, a Roland bass synthesizer, and Revox tape recorder. Despite this, the record received critical praise and was bolstered by the success of its single "Tainted Love", a cover version of a little-known R&B song by Gloria Jones which topped charts worldwide and became the best-selling British single of 1981 in the United States. Today we have the song Say Hello, Wave Goodbye by SOFT CELL from the album Non-Stop Erotic Cabaret .

I must admit I think the only Soft Cell song I think I know is Tainted Love.
Frank Zappa composed his album "Jazz From Hell" entirely on a NED Synclavier.
Great band. This and "The Art Of Falling Apart" LP are still favourites here!
