On this day in 1960, actress Sandra Dee, married singer/teen idol Bobby Darin. Dee, who was under contract with Universal, was best known for playing the title role in the beach movie Gidget. She was the last major star to be under an exclusive contract with a studio when her contract ended, in 1965. Today we have the song The Fade to Black by SECRET DAKOTA RING.

Another favourite of mine was 'A Summer Place' where poor Sandra ends up being impregnated by the Troy Donohue.
