MP3 of the Day

On this day in 1999, The Push Kings played a show in Seattle at the Breakroom. For those of you who may not remember, the Breakroom eventually became the club we now call Chop Suey. Today we have live recording of THE PUSH KINGS performing the song Pop Phenomenon from that show. It was recorded on a handheld cassette recorder so the quality isn't terrific. If you listen close, you can hear Chris (tullycraft) remark: "so far two of the three new songs have included 'freak-out'... a lot of freak-out" Apparently, The Push Kings were writing new songs with the phrase 'freak-out' in them at the time. Who knows, maybe they were in their freak-out phase? Happy Friday!
