On this day in 2004, the film
Mean Girls was released in the US. It starred
Lindsay Lohan and co-starred
Tina Fey (who also wrote the script). The movie was based on the non-fiction book
Queen Bees and Wannabes by
Rosalind Wiseman, which describes how high school social cliques operate, and the effect they can have on girls.
Jenny (from tullycraft) still hasn't seen this movie, and I was just telling her last week that I thought would like it. Today we have the song
Southern Girls by
THE BANGS from the album
Sweet Revenge. In case you were wondering... yes, this
is a
Cheap Trick cover.
