MP3 of the Day
On this day in 1953, the film, The 5,000 Fingers of Dr. T. was released. The movie is perhaps best known for being the only feature film ever written by Theodor Seuss Geisel (aka Dr. Seuss). At the movie's Hollywood premiere it was reported that some audience members walked out after only 15 minutes... and box office receipts were equally disappointing. Despite this, over the years the film has gained a cult following. I saw this movie on television when I was a kid and it actually kinda scared me (no joke). Today we have the song Down With The Kids by SOCIALIST LEISURE PARTY.

The Simpsons character Sideshow Bob takes his last name "Terwilliger" from Dr. Terwilliker in this movie.
actually most of the simpson's characters are named after portland streets. terwilliger being one of them.
