On this day in 1966, the radio station KLUE-AM in Longview, TX organized the first "Beatles bonfire," where ex-Beatle fans could burn the groups' records. The next morning (8/14/66) KLUE's radio tower was struck by lightning, throwing the station off the air. Today we have the song Lightning Parade by NEW GRENADA from the album, Parting Shots.
