In October 1987, The Sugarcubes released "Birthday" b/w an Icelandic-language version of the song as a 7" on One Little Indian Records. The following year the band released their debut album, Life's Too Good internationally, and "Birthday" became the first single from the record. Today we have live versions of both Birthday and Delicious Demon by THE SUGARCUBES recorded in 1988.Jenny will be taking over the blog starting tomorrow.... be nice to her!

Birthday is an awesome track. Can't wait to hear a live version!
I remember pulling the car over to side of the road the first time I heard "Birthday" on the radio.
