On this day in 1993 Bunnygrunt found their band name at the Fairmount Park Racetrack in Collinsville, Illinois. Karen Ried had bet on a horse named Bunnygrunt to win, and when it did, both she and band mate Matt Harnish saw it as a sign. Not long after they convinced former band mate Renee Dullum that they should change the name of their band from The Mars Bars to Bunnygrunt. She agreed, and the rest is history.
