MP3 of the Day
I happened to catch the Portland duo EUX AUTRES a couple weeks ago with Math and Physics Club and BOAT, and I thought they were pretty great. Today we have The Sundance Kid from their album, Hell Is Eux Autres.

Today we have the Mötley Crüe classic, Don't Go Away Mad (Just Go Away) sung by BEN LEE.
A couple years ago Magic Marker Records released an amazing album by the Florida based PLASTIC MASTERY called, In The Fall Of Unearthly Angels. It was the record that Jeff Mangum should have made after In The Aeroplane Over The Sea. If you don't already own it, you should really pick-up a copy. Today we have Remember That Night I Thought I Was Going To Die? from this much overlooked album.
For those of you who may have missed Jenny's performance of "Johnny Are You Queer?" at our talent show this last summer, you've got another chance to catch her. Three Imaginary Girls, "Seattle's sparkly indie- pop press," are hosting a Holiday Party on Friday, December 8, at The Crocodile Cafe, to welcome in the holiday season with their favorite local rockstars singing karaoke... and Jenny along with Cori (and maybe Chris) are going to be performing at least one song! The night will kick-off with a Sub Pop and Barsuk Records-supported pre-party with an acoustic set from of Sub Pop artists Fruit Bats and Barsuk Records' Jim Noir. The event will also feature John Roderick of the Long Winters as Indie Rock Santa Claus... so have your wish lists ready! If you can't make this event and would like to see Jenny's talent show performance, check out a QuickTime clip here. We hope to see some of you on the 8th!
Hey.... the holidays are officially here! And with that, we are occasionally going to be posting some indie-pop holiday songs. Today we have I'm Gonna Be Warm This Winter by BUNNYGRUNT. Happy Black Friday!
Happy Thanksgiving! Some of you might want to consider picking up Jeff Fell's Party Mustaches. They're perfect for almost any special occasion!
Today we have a rarity... BILLY BRAGG covering The Jam classic, That's Entertainment.
Last Sunday we tracked some gang vocals with the three male members of the 'craft. Catering was sponsored by Doritos brand Blazin' Buffalo & Ranch Tortilla Chips, and Rolling Rock tall-boys. Chris was wearing a cheerful red v-neck, and there was a faint smell of cat-pee coming from behind the couch.
Each Tuesday we feature a band (or artist) covering a Tullycraft song. Today we have SIX CENTS AND NATALIE doing Christine, ND, from our album, Beat, Surf, Fun. Hey! If you're in a band or know a band that covers a Tullycraft song, send it our way and we'll put it on the site!
When the film The Devil and Daniel Johnston was released in Japan, as a promotion, a burger joint had Daniel Johnston cookies made up. They even offered a DJ burger special... it's true. Today we have True Love Will Find You In The End by DANIEL JOHNSTON from his album titled 1990.
Gary Miklusek played guitar (and all kinds of other instruments) on the classic Wimp Factor 14 album Ankle Deep, and on both of the Tullycraft albums, Old Traditions, New Standards and City Of Subarus. These days he writes, records, and sings for his new band, GROOT KLUELESS. Today we have, Shell Shocked, from the new batch of songs he's working on.
Today we have, Walking My Gargoyle by THE GOTHIC ARCHIES from their new album, The Tragic Treasury: Songs From A Series Of Unfortunate Events.
Today we have, She Loves Monsters by THE BARTLEBEES from their excelent album, Urban Folk Legends released on Little Teddy Recordings.
Today we have, Lady! Reversable! (Alleged), by COLD COLD HEARTS from their self titled album on Kill Rock Stars. Enjoy!
Each Tuesday we feature a band (or artist) covering a Tullycraft song. When Ian Rickert isn't playing in his band Elf Power he moonlights as one half of FAIRMOUNT FAIR. Today we have their spaced-out cover of Skyway, from our very first 7". We also have the FAIRMOUNT FAIR song, It's Gone Bad which samples the Tullycraft song The Lives Of Cleopatra. This was recorded live on WUGA.
Today we have Catalog & Classify by MARK ROBINSON from his album, Tiger Banana released on Teen Beat Records.
We've unearthed yet another Jeff gem! This is one that even I had forgotten about. When Tullycraft drummer, JEFF FELL lived in Bellingham he released a 7" single called Music For Robots. I believe there were only 300 of these ever pressed. Today we have the A-side, Polka-Dot Ribbon. I love this record!
Today we have Canadian popsters, B'EHL covering the Simple Minds classic, Don't You Forget About Me.
After yesterday's Democratic swing in the mid-term elections, I've decided to post the 1965 hit, Sunshine, Lollypops And Rainbows by LESLEY GORE.
Each Tuesday we feature a band (or artist) covering a Tullycraft song. Today we have MURDER BEACH, from Athens, GA. covering 8 Great Ways, from our second album, City of Subarus. Hey! If you're in a band or know a band that covers a Tullycraft song, send it our way and we'll put it on the site!
Remember SHAMPOO, the pre-Spice Girls 'Girl Power' duo? They were from England, and you occasionally may still hear their hit, Trouble during a chase sequence in a teen movie. Today we have their anthem, Girl Power from the album with the same name. Happy Monday!
Today we have Fantastic Cat by TAKAKO MINEKAWA from her album, Roomic Cube... a tiny room exhibition.
(WARNING - If you are easily offended , this might not be your cup of tea)
We found a small stash of the famous 'F**k Me, I'm TWEE' t-shirts! We have them in pink and baby blue. Sizes are limited. We seem to have mostly youth-large and medium. These are from the original run, and we're not having any more made up. $12 will include postage, a t-shirt, some other mystery gift from the vault.
